In order to achieve B Corp certification, a company must:
1. Demonstrate high social and environmental performance by achieving a B Impact Assessment score of 80 or above and passing our risk review.
Multi-national corporations must also meet baseline requirement standards.
What we did: We aligned our eco manifesto and responsibilities in line with Walpole, which we joined in 2020 after researching for an authentic, certified approach to becoming more sustainable. We then became aware of B Corp as a well-regarded, global certification in sustainability. B Corp is properly audited, realistic and holistic in its approach and has a focused direction. We engaged with a third-party specialist sustainability consultant to help us begin our B Corp journey.
