UKAA Forums

UKAA Forums are regular meetings enabling like-minded groups of BTR industry practitioners to share knowledge and insights, to learn from each other and from experts and sector leaders.

The UKAA Forums are regular on-line meetings enabling like-minded groups of BTR industry practitioners to share knowledge and insights and learn from each other and from experts and sector leaders. Originally established at the start of the pandemic, they rapidly became vital opportunities to share concerns and find out up to date information about what was happening directly from government, industry leaders and peers.

Going forward we hope to hold an annual meeting for each Forum in person too.

The forums have now evolved into four groups, designed for members specialising in those different parts of the sector:

Senior Leaders

Chaired by Lesley Roberts, UKAA President

Looking at key industry trends and issues and featuring briefings from the BPF, Property Institute (ARMA / IRPM), RICS, NHBC and others.

Investors & Lenders

Chaired by Jason Hardman, CBRE and Ashely Perry

Looking at topics of specific interest to the investment and lending community, such as “The place of covenants in BTR”. Events are often run in partnership with CREFC Europe.

Operators

Chaired by Kevin Watson of Platform_ & Russell Markou of Quintain Living

This forum enables operators and staff at all levels to share insights into what’s happening on the ground and hear about best practice in dealing with practical challenges faced by both residents and management teams.

Suppliers

Chaired by Edward Grimshaw, Operations Director, Regal Blinds Ltd & Oliver Ringsby-Burgess, HPS Services (Vice-Chair)

Suppliers from all parts of the value chain come together to learn what’s happening in the BTR market, from each other and from sector leaders. Led by the UKAA Supplier Council, the forum has a particular focus on improving procurement practices and better utilisation of suppliers’ expertise in BTR design and development.

Each forum meets virtually approximately once a quarter for a few hours each time. Summary notes are produced and sent to invitees.

Dates and times for upcoming forums are published on the UKAA Events page.

Please contact the forum chair if there is a particular topic that you would like a forum to cover or that you would like to lead on.

As a guide we suggest one representative from each organisation per relevant Forum (although substitutions can attend as necessary).

Participation in UKAA forums is a great way to learn more about the sector and contribute your own knowledge. Please contact info@ukaa.org.uk if you would like an invitation.

Attendance is by invitation only.
